Kosovo: Serbia vows to never recognize Kosovo's independence

Serbia will never recognize the independence of Kosovo, said Serbian President Boris Tadic following his meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on Wednesday, according to news reports.

Tadic vowed to move the case of Kosovo "from the political corner to the legal corner" by bringing it to The Hague-based International Court of Justice.

He pledged to use "all legal and diplomatic means" to fight for Serbia's stance on Kosovo which has already been recognized by around 50 countries.

Germany was one of the first states to extend diplomatic recognition to the former Serbian province last February.
