The meeting will be attended by Prime Minister and VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski, DUI leader Ali Ahmeti, SDSM leader Zoran Zaev, DPA leader Menduh Thaci and President Branko Crvenkovski.
The ruling and the opposition parties voiced different stands on Macedonia's position in negotiations for settlement of name row with Greece.
VMRO-DPMNE is insisting on the double-name formula. The opposition SDSM, on the other hand, announced that it would be acceptable for the country to have the interim reference FYROM replaced by a geographical qualifier that would not undermine the nation's dignity and identity.
The meeting of political leaders takes place one day before the consultations among mediator Nimetz and representatives of Macedonia and Greece, slated for Tuesday in New York.
It is not clear whether Nimetz will hold separate meetings with the representatives of both countries or he might hold a joint meeting. The joint meeting is expected to take place on Wednesday.
Unofficial reports say Nimetz is likely to present his final proposal for settlement of the name dispute.
