Child Safety: Safety identification kits issued to LA children complete with headshots, fingerprints

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19 -- Infinity Insurance has partnered with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to provide Kindergarten students at Howard Tanner Elementary with Infinity Cares Child Safety Kits. On November 19th at 12:00 noon, Infinity employees will distribute over 80 safety identification kits to children complete with headshots, fingerprints taken by City of Paramount Police Officers, safety brochures, and backpacks filled with school supplies. Gang Reduction Through Intervention Prevention (GRIP) will also be on hand to talk with parents and distribute educational materials.

The Infinity Cares Child Safety Kits, designed by Infinity in partnership with NCMEC, include a standard head-and-shoulders ID photo, vital statistics, emergency contact information and NCMEC's safety tips to help parents teach their children about staying safe. According to the NCMEC (www.missingkids.com), the U.S. Justice Department estimates 800,000 American children are reported missing each year. Keeping current identifying information, including a photo and fingerprints, to provide to law enforcement and the community when a child is abducted, increases the chances that a missing child will be found.

Infinity Cares is a community advocacy program that is managed by Infinity Insurance Companies (Nasdaq: IPCC) and is designed to support urban communities.
