During the presentation of the regional classification tournament for the World Cup of Dubai 2009, to be held in Montevideo, Caceres hailed the growing importance the government is giving to the beach sports.
"We have hosted the South American tournaments of volleyball and handball, and now with great pleasure will receive the soccer," Caceres said.
As part of the sports boosting "we are going to present our (Uruguay) candidature for Uruguay to host the Beach soccer World Cup in 2011 or 2013."
