While browsing through Pashtun web sites in the English language, I came across this desperate cry for help from some students and professionals of Swat who have started a blogspot of their own titled "Swat Under The Reign of Darkness---SwatValley.org for the abandoned people of Swat Valley." It is an excellent source of open source information on the developments in the Swat Valley for those interested and not yet aware of it.

We are a group of students and professionals belonging to Swat, who want to show the world the reality of the terror going on in Swat. We are looking for friends and comrades to join us in our cause.
Why This Website?
We started with a group blog during the military operation going on in Swat during 2008. The blog was created with the mission to provide latest information about what was happening in Swat and at the same time create awareness about the reality of military operation in Swat. Our aim was and is, to be the best and most reliable news source about the situation in Swat. We aspire to bring unbiased, unprejudiced, correct, and genuine information to everyone who is interested with the help of contributors in Swat and outside.
This place also aspire to act as a discussion forum for those who belong to Swat and for Friends of Swat - people who love Swat and want to help us get an end to the violence going on in the region.
How Can You Help?
Swat and the people of Swat are going through one of the worst times of Swat's history. The worse part is that even our future is not secure, as the militants are now free to brainwash and recruit our youth for extremist endeavours. Civil liberties is a luxury that the people of Swat cannot even think of. Many children have no access to education, especially girls. Kidnap for ransom, killing, and loot is a daily routine everywhere. The militants are getting stronger both in numbers and in resources. They terrorize people to give them money for their Jihad. They are recruiting teenagers in high numbers daily and preparing them for suicide missions. This is the Swat of Today.
