Bilateral Relations: Chile, Russia to sign Free Trade Agreement

Russia intends to sign a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Chile, a Chilean official said yesterday.

Chilean Agriculture Minister Marigen Hornkohl told Chilean media that she is in Russia to talk about issues related to the liberalization of bilateral commerce.

Chile and Russia have a trade volume of about 430 million U.S. dollars a year, mainly based on fruits. Both sides intend to expand trade to meats and other products.
