Macedonia: Media in Macedonia face political and business pressure

FOCUS Information Agency - The media in Macedonia are in a bad condition; journalists are pressurized by political and business centers, but at the same time some of them are too free not to observe the Code of Labor, Macedonian Dnevnik dialy writes.

This is the conclusion Thursday’s conference named Politics and Media and organized by Konrad Adenauer Foundation arrived at. The conference was attended by media, political parties and professors.

Slobodan Casule, editor-in-chief of Forum magazine and former foreign minister, says estranged oligarch circles are standing behind the media and politics in Macedonia and the transformation of the media in the country is “an absurdity for research.”
