In an interview with Syrian Al-Watan daily, Kouchner considered that the real peace can never be just and comprehensive unless it engages the Syrian track, affirming that France seeks to exploit its relations with Syria on the one hand and with Israel on the other in order to have a role in the peace process through cooperating with the US and other player
