Karaki Ali Muhammad, Ali Najmeddin, Vidadi Rasulov, Mushvig Amanov, Afghan Babashov and Javad Mammadov are accused of treason and spying.
The suspects are reported to be "connected to" the Lebanese Shiite militant group Hezbollah and the Al-Qaeda network. The two Lebanese were under orders to recruit Azerbaijani citizens and devise a plan to attack the Israeli and U.S. embassies, as well as the strategic Gabala missile-detection radar station in the north of the country. They are also believed to have connections with Iran's powerful ideological army the Revolutionary Guards.
Lebanese Karaki Ali Muhammad confessed he was instructed to collect data about the Israeli embassy in Baku, send it to Sepah and expect the order to blast the building of the diplomatic mission.
