Bilateral Relations: Venezuela orders ambassador back to Colombia

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez ordered his country's ambassador to return to Colombia after withdrawing him a week ago, local media reported Saturday.

Chavez told Ambassador Gustavo Marquez to "go back to Bogota" during a televised meeting, reports said.

Marquez was recalled last week amid a diplomatic spat over Colombia's plans to allow the United States to establish military bases in its territory.
