Lebanon: Israel removes controversial monitoring post

Xinhua - A monitoring point set up by Israeli forces was removed by Israelis at dawn on Monday, Lebanese official National News Agency reported.

Israeli forces also removed several cement barriers surrounding the point, located in the Kfarshouba Hills, the report said.

Sitting south of the Blue Line -- the withdrawal line of Israeli forces from Lebanon in May 2000, the Kfarshouba Hills is in the vicinity of the Shebaa Farms, a disputed land located at the junction of Lebanon, Syria and Israel.
