Child Abuse: Pope aims to calm Irish child abuse scandal (video report)

The head of the Catholic Church in Ireland has apologised for his role in the cover-up of child abuse 35 years ago.

Cardinal Sean Brady is now under pressure to resign after he admitted he attended meetings where two 10-year-olds were forced to sign vows of silence over complaints against a priest who was abusing children.

Pope Benedict the 16th is now also speaking out.

Al Jazeera's Matt Moore reports.
