Darfur: JEM causes "havoc" in south Darfur

Source: Miraya FM - The Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) said that the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) had recently entered Ozban area, South Darfur, causing a lot of havoc and instability to citizens, and prompting SAF to fight back JEM in the area.

The Spokesperson of SAF, Lieutenant Colonel, Al Suwarmi Khalid Saad, said that SAF inflicted heavy losses on JEM, killing 43 soldiers and wounding 90, and some of JEM's soldiers were unaccounted for.

JEM denied being defeated by SAF, and put their causalities at a very low number.

The Head of JEM's Legislative Council, Al Tahir Al Faki, said they defeated the government forces. He said that JEM lost only five of its fighters and eight others wounded.
