Hitchen's World Cup for life wisdom

According to the official Liverpoolfc.tv website, it states that former manager the late, great Bill Shankly once said, "Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that."

Well, perhaps that is stretching things a bit far - but maybe, just maybe, there are life lessons to be learned from football. Here a few things that came into my mind:)

When two are in love, they are never on the losing team

Doesn't matter how many your opponent scores against you, as long as its at least one less than you score against them

If you want to score goals against the Establishment, you need someone on your team who can kick balls.
