Tehran, June 3, IRNA – Prosecutor General of Tehran Abbas Ja’fari-Dowlatabadi sent a letter to head of Evin Prison ordering release from captivity of culprits who have been pardoned by Supreme Leader.

According to IRNA, the information website of the Tehran General and Revolutionary Court reported late Wednesday night that Dowlatabadi issued the order immediately after Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khameneie approved of the judiciary chief’s pardon proposal.

The proposal was presented to the supreme leader on the blessed occasion of Lady Fatemeh az-Zahra’s birth anniversary, earlier Wednesday evening, according to which 81 culprits of the post presidential election unrests who had repented and begged for pardon were either pardoned, or their sentences were decreased.
