Balkans: Clinton and Hague, lobby against Serbia

FOCUS Information Agency - The U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and British Foreign Secretary William Hague are lobbying against the Serbian resolution on Kosovo in the UN General Assembly, Serbian Blic daily writes.

Clinton and Hague have sent letters to the presidents and prime ministers of 50 states, calling for voting down the Serbian resolution due to Belgrade’s unreasonable behavior.

The newspaper describes Clinton and Hague’s justification as insulting. In their letters the two diplomats say that through its resolution Serbia refuses to accept the opinion of the Intentional Court of Justice in The Hague that Kosovo’s independence declaration does not contradict to the international law. Clinton and Hague call for voting down the resolution, because Serbia and Kosovo’s future is in the EU.
