Tehran, Oct 27, IRNA – Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said here on Tuesday evening that cooperation of free media would be effective in giving awareness to the world. He continued that Iranian press and media are ready for cooperation with neighboring, regional and Islamic world media and all those who sympathizer with establishment of peace in the world.
In a banquet honoring foreign participants of the 17th media festival and exhibition, Seyed Mohammad Hosseini said that presence of 47 countries in the festival indicated the excellent position of Iran in international community.
Referring to publishing 3,134 publications in Iran, the minister said that unlike media propaganda of hegemonic countries on lack of free media in Iran, there are 76 newspapers with different inclinations in Iran, which are availabe here in this exhibition.
Referring to the fact that Iran’s news is distorted in hegemonic countries' media, the minister noted that the people of the world had noticed that Iran is not their enemy, but Iran is enemy of the colonial powers.
