Supporters of Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Saad Hariri have called for a day of anger to protest progress made by Hezbollah in forming a new government.
During consultations on Monday, Hezbollah has secured the support of a majority of lawmakers to choose their candidate, Najib Mikati, as prime minister.
The US, meanwhile, has warned Lebanon's political leaders that a larger role for Hezbollah in the next cabinet could be "more problematic", and may affect US aid to the country.
