Gender Issues: Iranian, Afghan women cultural cooperation to expand

Kabul, IRNA – Promoting scientific, cultural, artistic and athletic cooperation between Iranian and Afghan women is among the priorities of the two countries, said the director general of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization for women and family affairs

Talking to IRNA on the sidelines of the Joint Exhibition of Iranian and Afghan Women Handicrafts, Seddiqeh Hejazi noted that holding an Iranian and Afghan Women Friendship Week is an opportunity for promoting cultural and scientific ties and exchanging experience.

Referring to Iran-Afghanistan cultural commonalities, she added that a delegation of Iranian female officials is currently in Kabul to confer with their Afghan counterparts.

The Joint Exhibition of Iranian and Afghan Women Handicrafts displays a small part of the Iranian and Afghan women’s capabilities, she said.

Iranian and Afghan Women Friendship Week opened on Sunday.
