Tehran, June 2, IRNA – Media and Information Deputy of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry asked the media here Wednesday to obtain and publish news on Supreme Leader merely through official sources.According to IRNA, the Media and Information Deputy of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry issued a communiqué here Wednesday evening emphasizing that the legitimacy of the Iranian printed press and news agencies is preserved in proper and authentic news dissemination, particularly when it is related to the spoken words and the issued communiqués by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and that can be achieved merely through the official sources.
Emphasizing the need for observing the Press Law, and that certain unauthentic news have been attributed to the Supreme Leader, it is said that such acts are under careful survey, and if needed, direct legal action would be taken against them, or they would be referred to the Supervisory Group of the Press.
