Bilateral Relations: Turkey favors highest level of cooperation with Iran-official

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan said Ankara is willing to reach the highest level of cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He made the remarks here in his meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Turkey Bahman Hosseinpour.

The two further reviewd the latest situation of relations between Tehran and Ankara.

For his part, Iran’s envoy said the two enjoyed about 8-billion-dollar worth of trade exchange during the first half of the current year and hoped the figure will touch 15 billion dollars by the end of 2011.
