An Afghan employee of the United States shot dead one American and wounded another inside a CIA office in Kabul on Sunday, in the latest in a series of brazen attacks on compounds in the Afghan capital.
The attack on the CIA office came almost two weeks after a sustained Taliban assault on the US embassy and nearby NATO headquarters, and a week after the Taliban sent a suicide bomber to kill the government's top peace envoy.
Al Jazeera's Jennifer Glasse reports from Kabul, Afghanistan, on the worsening security situation in the capital.
