Bahrain: National Audit Court to Combat Corruption

In the Government of Bahrain's ongoing efforts to implement the recommendations of the comprehensive and historic National Dialogue, His Excellency, Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa (photo) announced the formation of a National Audit Court to combat corruption and increase transparency within the government.

The creation of the auditing system will allow the Court to uphold the government's commitment to safeguarding public money, promoting accountability and advancing the government's goals for transparency.

His Excellency Finance Minister Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa encouraged and praised the National Dialogue implementation process and noted that 60 percent of all recommendations related to the Finance Ministry have already been implemented, reported Gulf Daily News.
