Tehran, Oct 5, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a live interview with IRIB Channel 2 said that relations with the USA is conditional and that the Iranians will never accept unequal terms.

Replying to a question concerning his viewpoints on establishment of relations with the USA and creation of a direct line with the US fleet in the Persian Gulf, Ahmadinejad said that our stances are clear and we have repeatedly said that the relations would be conditional.

He said the most important condition for establishing connection between Iran and the USA will be creation of relations upon justice and equal terms.

The president stressed that he had proposed a debate with the US president in the presence of the media and added if they have any logic, we are ready to listen to them.

Concerning establishment of a communication line between Iranian ships and the US fleet in the Persian Gulf, Ahmadinejad said that the measure was proposed in a meeting to prevent confrontation and 'I said we welcome every method in this concern, but my principled question is what the US fleet is doing in the Persian Gulf?

He added he told them that the US should take its fleet out of the Persian Gulf, so that no problem emerges.

Ahmadinejad underlined that providing security in the Persian Gulf does not need the US fleet presence here but added that warning systems can be used to prevent clashes between the US fleet and the Iranian ships.
