Iraq: Iran says peace in Iraq depends on foreign troop’s withdrawal

Withdrawal of foreign troops is the only way torward establishment of peace and security in Iraq, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said here Monday.

Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with a visiting Iraqi religious scholar, Ayatollah Bahrol-Oloum.

“The presence of foreign troops in Iraq, not only has not contributed to the establishment of peace in Iraq, but is also a source of trouble there,” the Iranian official added.

Calling for the development of relations between the two countries, The IRI Parliament spaeker stressed that Iran wished the establishment of peace and stability in its entire neighboring countries, including Iraq.

The Iraqi ayatollah, for his part, thanked the Iranian officials and nation for their support of the oppressed nations in the world and those witin the Muslim world.
'If the Muslims would get united, thier enemies will not be able to defeat or weaken them,' he stressed.
