Opinion: Save the wails

Ms. Gillard, like many other Australian tax payers, I am annoyed that the actions of three Australians belonging to Sea Shepherd, is likely to cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars that could be better spent of something rather more useful - something like glow-in-the-dark egg cups.

Perhaps Tony Abbott can lend them a few pairs of his budgie smugglers, and they can swim home.

After all, that's the view of many politicians and media when it comes to asylum seekers.
