Libya: Libya's Amazigh celebrate spring festival

Libya under Muammar Gaddafi, the country's former ruler, was an unfriendly home for the Amazigh people.

In a bid to create a unified Libyan identity, restrictions were placed on many tribes using their language or practicing their traditions.

In the city of Nalut, in western Libya, the Amazigh are now celebrating the new freedom that their country's revolution has brought them.

Al Jazeera's Omar Al Saleh reports from Nalut.
