Terrorism: Al-Qaida Extends Reach on African Soil

From Somalia in the east to Nigeria and Mali in the west, there has been a recent upsurge in Islamist violence in Africa. Now a new report warns there is growing evidence that al-Qaida's central leadership is extending its reach through a network of affiliates and partnerships across the continent.
