IRNA - Iran is to build cement and steel factories in Kelantan province in Malaysia.
Head of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization in Qom province Yunus Alipour said on Tuesday Iranian engineers and experts from Qom Province signed some contracts with Malaysians to build the factories for them in Kelantan province.
He said a team of experts and investors is to visit Malaysia in coming weeks to start implementation of the projects.
He also said based on the first agreement, Iran will export at least 1,000 bicycles to Kelantan.
“Malaysians are eager to replace Chinese products with Iranian ones and therefore necessary preparation are made in this regard and an Iranian trade exhibition will be held in Kelantan in late June,” Alipour added.
