Syria: Iran - Any military intervension in Syria may destabilize region

Tehran, June 26, IRNA - Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that any foreign military intervention in Syria may jeopardize regional security.

Speaking to reporters at his weekly press conference, Ramin Mehmanparast said any military meddling which may lead to civil war or would threaten regional security should be prevented through cooperation among and participation of the influential countries.

All should help stablish peace and stability in Syria through dialogue between the Syrian government and the opposition groups, he noted.
