Tehran, July 10, IRNA – Tehran is hosting a two-day international gathering on women and Islamic awakening which started Tuesday morning.
1,500 women active in political, cultural and social areas from 81 world countries including Iran are participating in the event.
The Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is to inaugurate the gathering.
The forum is to focus on six pivotal issues of Islamic thinking, Islamic awakening and revolutionary act, women and Islamic awakening, challenges, threats and guidelines.
It will also hold panels on women and Islamic awakening: achievements and demands, international relations and interactions, the issue of family and capacity building among revolutionary forces.
