South Africa: Soweto Showcases Mandela's House, South Africa's Progress and Problems

On July 18th, former South African President Nelson Mandela -- who led the fight against the country's apartheid system of racial segregation, and ushered in a peaceful transition to majority rule -- will turn 94 years old. To see how the iconic leader is remembered in his old neighborhood of Soweto, VOA's Brian Padden recently went along on an inconspicuous tour of this historic township in Johannesburg.
