Kabul, Sept 5, IRNA -- Iran and Afghanistan signed several agreements of mutual cooperation in the fourth joint economic commission in Kabul on Wednesday.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and Afghan Foreign Minister Zalmay Rassoul signed the agreements.
The two foreign ministers called for expansion of economic cooperation in different political, economic fields, consular services, science and technology and cultural exchange as well as border security on mutual interest.
They called for implementation of the agreements by respective executive officials.
They hailed the tripartite meeting of senior officials of Iran, Afghanistan and India on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement Summit of Leaders in Tehran and described as vital the Iranian port of Chahbahar .
The agreement has five chapters and 56 articles.
