Ardakan Governor Ahmad Kamali said on Monday that Saghand uranium complex and Shahid Rezaei Nejad yellowcake production plant are to come on stream on Tuesday marking the national "Nuclear Day".
April 9 is honored as the national Nuclear Day in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, he said the two major nuclear projects will come on stream upon the order of President Ahmainejad and in the presence of a number of local officials in Ardakan.
Saghand project aims to process uranium through natural resources, he said, adding that the equipment installed at the plant can extract uranium from underground resources.
The extracted uranium in Saghand mine will be processed and changed into yellowcake at Shahid Rezaei complex, he said.
The two projects will come on stream in the current Iranian year designated as the 'Year of Political and Economic Epics' through a video-conference system, Kamali said.
