Syria: Armed group claims allegiance to al-Qaeda

A man claiming to lead a rebel group in Syria, has pledged allegiance to al-Qaeda. Abu Mohammed al Julani is said to be the head of Al Nusra Front. In an audio clip, he has now declared allegiance to Ayman al-Zawahiri, the head of al-Qaeda. Al Jazeera cannot independently verify if it is a genuine recording. Al Jazeera speaks to Joseph Kechichian, a political analyst from Beirut, on the latest developments regarding Jabat al-Nusra.
