There are concerns that the new ban on abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy in the US state of Texas could put women's lives at risk. The legislation, among other things, requires abortion providers to upgrade their facilities. Costly measures that critics say are unnecessary and could force clinics to close their doors for good.
