Tehran, Feb 6, IRNA – Head of Presidential Office Mohammad Nahavandian said on Thursday that Iran welcomes deepening ties with African states.
In a meeting with the special envoy of Sierra Leonean president, he stressed the need to promote cooperation with the African states in al the fields.
Recalling the Iranian companiesˈ experience and achievements in engineering and technical services, Nahavandian said that Iranian private and state sectors are willing to implement development projects in oil and gas fields and construction of roads in the African states.
Nahavandian thanked Sierra Leone presidentˈs written message inviting President Rouhani to visit the country and said that Tehran welcomes any plan and proposal which will help further deepen ties with the African countries.
For his part, Sierra Leonean presidentˈs special envoy, Franklin Kargbo said that his country is also optimistic about promoting political and economic ties with Iran.
He called for Iranian companiesˈ presence in Sierra Leonean projects.
