The Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia Mohamed Osman Jawari on Monday hoped that the 9th conference of Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation underway in Tehran will bear fruits for unity of Muslim states.
In a meeting with Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, Jawari said his country is prepared for all-out cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He highlighted industrial, economic and scientific achievements of Iran, inviting the Iranian private sector and enterprises to invest in Somalia.
Larijani said for his part that Iranian Majlis welcomes all-out relations with Somalia.
He referred to export of the technical and engineering services, establishment of infrastructural facilities, sharing experience in medical, pharmaceutical, industrial and agricultural fields.
He said necessary grounds are prepared for more parliamentary cooperation, adding that Iranian Majlis is prepared for cooperation with the Somali parliament in legislation and composing the Constitution.
