Vigilantes in Mexico's western state of Michoacan that have been fighting against drug cartels are asked to put their guns away and get off the streets. Authorities are urging them to join a new official police force instead, adding that anyone patrolling without official authority will be arrested. This follows more than a year-long fight by the so-called self-defence units against drugs cartels. Al Jazeera's Adam Raney reports from Michoacan.
