Tehran, Nov 25, IRNA – Central Bank of Iran (CBI) announced Tuesday that Iran has received the fifth and sixth tranches of the second phase of Geneva deal 2013 from the frozen assets.
According to the CBI, Iran has received $500 million for the fifth tranche and another $400 million for the sixth tranche of its frozen assets which were to be unblocked under the terms of Geneva Accord struck last November between Iran and the six world powers, Known as the P5+1.
With the payments, Iran has been paid all the $2.8 billion Iran was due to receive during the second phase of the Geneva Accord.
Another $4.2 billion of Iranian frozen were unblocked in eight trenches in the first phase, IRNA reported.
